The Archdiocese of San Francisco encourages all Catholic scouts to particpate in earning their religious awards. The Archdiocesan Catholic Scouting Committee provides training for leaders, mentoring and an annual awards Mass. All are encouraged to particpate with the Archbishop in recognizing the scout's accomplishment in studing his/her faith.
1. Decide the program that is age appropriate. Check the website for Catholic Girl Scout Awards or Catholic Boy Scout Awards.
2. Buy the work books from the Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education and Youth Ministry,One Peter Yorke Way, SF 94109, 415-614-5650, or email: herrerad@sfarchdiocese.org
3. Complete all of the required application paper work in the workbook and return the back page of the booklet to the Office of Religious Education and Youth Ministry for review. Please complete the paper work at least one month in advance of the awards Mass in order to participate. Remember to download the order form for medals; complete paper work and return with check to the Archdiocesan office
4. All scouts earning their Catholic Awards is expected to pariticpate in the annual awards Mass in the Spring. Check with the Archdiocesan Scouting Committee Members or this website for date.
